Stephen Falvey, (Chairman)
Business Development Uniplas NZ
Limited
Joined the Plastics and Chemical Industry in 1972. In 1998, acquired All Plastics Ltd, an injection
moulding and plasticware manufacturing and distribution operation based in Lower Hutt. In 2006
All Plastics Ltd merged with it’s neighbour Lamnei Plastics to form Uniplas NZ Ltd. Stephen is married to Jenny and they have two daughters. He completed an MBA at Massey
University in 1991.
Mike Murphy BSc, ANZIM (Past Chairman)
I have over 30 years experience in the Plastics Industry. Currently Group Operations Manager
for Elldex Packaging Group, a Flexible Packaging Manufacturer and Imported with Operations in
Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Currently Immediate Past President of the South Island
Branch of Plastics New Zealand, Member of the National Executive of Plastic New Zealand, and
Industry Representative on the Canterbury Manufacturers Association Council.
Colin Butler
With only 18 years of technical sales experience Colin is one of the newer faces in our industry.
Has a tertiary qualification in Chemistry and has spent time with UK company Croda both here
and overseas, and Omya of Switzerland, before beginning with Hunt Agencies in 2002. Currently
serving on the Auckland Branch Committee, the ITO board, as well as PNZ National Executive as
Corporate Suppliers Representative.
Fran O'Keefe
20 years experience in health & safety within the glass manufacturing field and taking this
manufacturing environment from "be alright" attitude to a approach of having to work safely and
thinking it though, It has been a constant drive to keep safety in the fore front of employees minds
plus taking on the role of training management across the New Zealand plant and having
developed our own NZQA National Certificate Qualification for Glass Manufacturing and literacy
support. The training has seen the commencement of Glass Apprenticeship within the industry -
which is a first for the Asia-Pacific region.
Neil Debenham
Neil is currently employed as Technical Projects Manager for Altex Coatings Ltd., and in his role
as Chairman of the New Zealand Paint Manufacturers Federation represents the Paint
manufacturing industry sector on the PaMPITO Board. He has been on the Board since 2005,
and was involved with the drafting of the unit standards for the industry.
Rachel Mackintosh MA (Hons) National Industry Organiser — Plastics Industry, EPMU
Rachel Mackintosh is a union representative on the PaMPITO Executive. She has a central role
in organising union members in support of their training and employment interests and in pursuit
of genuine engagement over the future of the industries they work in and their own working
futures.
Ron Angel, Organiser, EPMU
Ron Angel is a union representative on the PaMPITO Executive. Based in Christchurch he
organises union members in support of their training and employment interests and in pursuit of
genuine engagement over the future of the industries they work in and their own working futures.
Tony Miller
26 years experience in the Plastics Industry mostly as GM and CEO of several flexible packaging
and injection moulding businesses. He is now the owner operator of a custom injection moulder
Lane Plastics. He has previously served on the ITO board, Industrial Relations working group,
Packaging Council and served on the National Executive for 13 years.
Rupinder Virk
Rupinder joined PaMPITO's Board in August 2009. He has been
in the plastics industry for the last 7 years and works as a Quality,
Safety and Environment Manager for Alto Packaging Ltd. Alto Packaging stems from the old CHH industry which was bought by Vertex Pacific Ltd. It later merged with Alto Plastics and was taken over by PACT group to become Alto Packaging Ltd. Previously Rupinder worked in the Poultry Industry for Inghams for 5 years in various roles from QA to Production Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from India, a Diploma in Management via NZIM, a Graduate Diploma in Business from Wintec and a Post Graduate Diploma in Employment Relations via Massey University. He has being managing the training needs for Alto's Hamilton plants for the last 5 years and is a strong believer in the development of staff. Rupinder is married with two children, a daughter and a son He represents the Waikato in Badminton and loves to watch cricket and rugby.

Roger Jordan has served as Invitrogen and now Life Technologies' Human Resource Lead NZ BioProduction since 1 January 2006. Prior to Invitrogen, Roger held several senior management positions in Australasia. Serving with the NZ Commerce Commission as Commercial Affairs Director from 1999 to 2000; the Commission is the NZ Government anti competition watchdog. Roger served as HR Leader in a subsidiary of Fonterra, NZ’s largest Dairy company, Mainland, a dairy manufacturing and sales organisation serving local markets as well as Asia America and Europe. Immediately prior to joining Life Technologies, Roger contracted to Air New Zealand in a Commercial/ Industrial Relations/ Change role, with specific responsibility to drive change in the airport services side of Air New Zealand’s business, looking at outsourcing of aircraft cleaning.
Roger has served on the Board of a number of NZ Industry Training Organisations, including the Tourism, Hospitality and Gas Industry ITO’s. Roger has a BA from the University of NSW and a post graduate diploma in Marketing from Auckland University.
