PaMPITO is a non-profit organisation that receives government funding through the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) to assist our industries to develop the skills they need to be successful.
We ensure that all of our training plans and outcomes are in line with the Tertiary Education Strategy and our statutory functions under the Industry Training Act 1992. Our outcomes must also be in accordance with our approved Investment Plans and the TEC's operational policies.
As well as ensuring compliance with the TEC’s requirements, we also feedback information on our industries’ needs to the government and its agencies to ensure that any new policies reflect our industries’ needs.
PaMPITO is also a member of the Industry Training Federation (ITF), an organisation that represents all Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) to the government and that works with agencies and sector groups to improve the policy for and delivery of industry skill development and workplace learning.
Through the ITF:
- We are engaged in a range of research projects relating to industry training
- We provide input on government policies that enhance workforce development and the quality of workplace learning
- We undertake projects that encourage good practice in the development, delivery and monitoring of industry skill development
